Results from L4C

Dear all,

Have you tried to produce some results with the L4C processor? Any interesting findings to share?

Best regards,
Justina

Dear Jutina,

We have produce some interesting results with the L4C processor. We have run it only for the Catch crop for now but it seems promessing.
We had to be carefull with the undersown crop that were not always detected at first. We understand after that you need to identify first those parcels with a specific P_TYPE and set this P_TYPE as so in the configuration file (with the maize for exemple).

If you have any particular question do not hesitate.

Best regards,

Diane

Dear Diane,

Thank you for your answer! Glad to hear that you have produced some interesting results! Also, the lessons-learned from others always good to have in mind!
Could you elaborate more on the undersown crop detection? Do you mean, that if the specific P_TYPE is not set, then the results will be significantly different?

Best regards,
Justina

Dear Justina,

The Catch crop detection works after the harvest detection. For undersown crop, the detection is less good. By setting a P_TYPE corresponding to the undersown crop, the harvest detection do not take a bigger part in the catch crop detection (Mainly for crop type that are harvested later in the year when there is a higher cloud cover such as maize). For those crop type, we had a significant difference in our results.
I hope that’s help.

Best regards,

Diane
